Okay so I'm WAY behind in posting this since Quilt Rush was in the middle of April! We had sooooo much fun hitting all the stores. It really is one of my most favorite traditions now! My mom and I always go and just have fun visiting and drooling over fabric and beautiful quilts. Okay, so technically Olivia wasn't on quilt rush...she was at beverly's but she was soooo cute and someday I WILL make her...someday.

Pedicures!
Camping with Grandma and Papa
We went out camping with Grandma and Papa this week. We had a good time making smores and fishing (although it wasn't a good day for fishing as we didn't catch any!) Rebekah asked Steven if we had to stay out there all day until we caught a fish...good thing we didn't say yes! We'd still be out there!
The kids loved to play on the playground (okay, we did too). It was a very peaceful and relaxing day.

Apple pie
The kids made their first apple pie a couple of weeks ago. They all had fun using the nifty apple peeler. They all wanted to eat the long stringy peels. You should have heard them talking about it. It was better than candy! I used this super yummy no-roll kid friendly crust recipe. So they each got a ball of dough and just patted it down into the pan. The left over rolls we used cookie cutters to put on top of the pie (all but Isaiahs- he wanted his raw). :)

A sunny afternoon painting
It was such a nice day and the kids have been begging to paint. I'm a little paranoid with the new house (especially since little man likes to paint everything BUT the paper he's supposed to). So I made some cheap easels and let them make a mess outside! :) (My rocks are all painted though, and the fence...which we were able to get that off...and the bark and my sons legs, arms, head, cheeks, Rebekah's hair, etc. )
I finally tried Spaans cookies!
Last Saturday we finally got around to going to the infamous "spaans cookies." The kids were so excited to go to a cookie factory.
There were a ton of different cookies to choose from. Isaiah wanted everything. Rebekah just wanted anything that looked colorful (and as un-natural as possible) :) The cookie she's pointing to here are sugar cookies mixed with nerds..Mmmm...
This was Isaiah's favorite part of the experience. The taste table. He would have stayed at that table the whole time if we let him. Just a table with a ton of different kinds of cookies waiting to be eaten :)
We had a fun afternoon. It was cute seeing the kids super excited when we told them they could pick out a cookie. Decisions, decisions, decisions :)
