Daddy will make it better!

This was also at Mickey Groves. I just thought it was super cute! Isaiah fell and hurt his hand. He came running to Steven for sympathy. He said "Daddy kiss it!" Amazingly enough 5 seconds later and the pain was gone! He was off and running again. Those kisses really are something!

Mickey Groves

Steven had the day off today so we decided to head off to Mickey Groves for a fieldtrip! We went to the zoo and fun howling with the howler monkeys (they're actually called white handed gibbons). We strolled through the very peaceful gardens and then let the kids wear themselves out at the playground. It was so much fun.

halloween

This year Rebekah was Cinderella and Isaiah was Elmo. It was Isaiah's first time actually trick

or treating! In PR there is just this modge podge of kids all trading one with another at this park by the beach. It's way chaotic but fun! So this was different going door to door. He got the hang of it pretty quick though!

grandkids

Taylor came home from his mission and to welcome him we had a picnic in the park. Since all the grandkids were together we used this opportunity to snatch a photo. There have been a few new additions to the family since the last time we did this.

October fun

Here are just a few fun things we made for this Halloween month. The kids helped make pumpkin quesadillas for dinner one night. They made orange popcorn balls with jello (not very tasty...but they LOVED them!) We made pumpkin bracelets and pencil toppers out of fimo clay. October was so much fun. There were so many fun things to make this month.

Rebekah is five!

Rebekah turned five! For her birthday she wanted a "fairy princess" party. All the kids dressed up as fairies or princesses (the boys were all knights). They made crowns and fairy dolls and ate fairy pizza's. She was thrilled!

annie's party at pixie woods

Annie had her birthday party at Pixie Woods this year and my kids love it! It was a perfect day, very sunny and warm. The kids got drenched in the water area and had fun getting their faces painted. It was a great day. Happy fourth birthday Annie!

Pioneer day

Last Saturday was Pioneer day for the Lodi stake. We had a really fun time. I made Rebekah her first pioneer outfit. She looked so cute. Her bonnet didn't quite make it though. It got torn as she was getting out of the car. But she looked cute without it anyway! Isaiah loved the horses. Steven and I sang during the program it was a fun day. We watched Legacy at the end of the program. It was good because we've been teaching Rebekah about pioneers and seeing this movie really helped her visualize it. She told Steven that she was grateful that we were'nt pioneers because she didn't want him to die. But she has been singing "pioneer children" a lot lately! She said "They just walked and walked!"

CAMP RICHIE

We had lots of fun at Camp Richie. The kids experienced canoeing, rock climbing (Isaiah chickened out at the last minute but he liked getting the gear on), hiking, and sleeping in a cabin for the first time. The weather was great. It was so pretty up there. They're already begging to go back!

Butterflies

We had a preschool lesson today on butterflies. After the lesson we decided to make watercolor butterflies. The kids really enjoyed that! What a mess! Luckily it's all washable!

Cherries!

A friend of our has a cherry tree and let us come over a pick cherries from her tree. It was fun. Isaiah LOVED them. He was all dyed red! The cherries were soooo yummy! How about a kiss?

Berry picking!

Well this was a super fun day! After running out of gas on the freeway, getting a little turned around, losing a shoe out of a moving car then turning around to hunt for it, driving through chaos through town, arriving at a pumpkin patch ghost town we finally got directed in the right direction and we made it! The pick and patch farm. It really was a fun day. We all picked a ton of very fresh, ripe berries. Our fingers were all red from the juices! It was really neat. And now we have awesome memories!!! :)

Quilt Rush!!!

Okay so I'm WAY behind in posting this since Quilt Rush was in the middle of April! We had sooooo much fun hitting all the stores. It really is one of my most favorite traditions now! My mom and I always go and just have fun visiting and drooling over fabric and beautiful quilts. Okay, so technically Olivia wasn't on quilt rush...she was at beverly's but she was soooo cute and someday I WILL make her...someday.

Pedicures!

For Christine's birthday the girls went out and got pedicures and went to dinner. It was a super fun and relaxing evening. When I got home I told Steven how relaxing it was and how fancy the place was and he asked me "now who's birthday was it?"

Camping with Grandma and Papa

We went out camping with Grandma and Papa this week. We had a good time making smores and fishing (although it wasn't a good day for fishing as we didn't catch any!) Rebekah asked Steven if we had to stay out there all day until we caught a fish...good thing we didn't say yes! We'd still be out there!

The kids loved to play on the playground (okay, we did too). It was a very peaceful and relaxing day.

Isaiah's first camp out

Isaiah was really excited to go on the camp out with Steven. It was his first time out camping! They went on the Father son camp out with our ward. It was a great turnout and they all had a nice time!

Charlie Warlie

Hmm...I'm not sure if I spelled that right. It's good she's too little to know or care. :) Rebekah loves her bear. I found these cute matching dresses and we had a little extra time before church so I had to snap a few cute pictures.

Apple pie

The kids made their first apple pie a couple of weeks ago. They all had fun using the nifty apple peeler. They all wanted to eat the long stringy peels. You should have heard them talking about it. It was better than candy! I used this super yummy no-roll kid friendly crust recipe. So they each got a ball of dough and just patted it down into the pan. The left over rolls we used cookie cutters to put on top of the pie (all but Isaiahs- he wanted his raw). :)
